Guest Choreographer
Emily McGuire is a 2018 graduate of The Boston Conservatory. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance with an emphasis in Ballet. Emily received her early dance education from Contempro Dance Theatre studying classical and contemporary techniques under Jennifer Lentz and Autumn Dziegrenuk.
While in Boston, she performed professionally with David Sun's Boston-based contemporary ballet company SundanceX. Upon graduation, Emily moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her love of both performing and educating children.
Emily is currently on faculty at both The Los Angeles Ballet Academy and The School of Dance and Music. She is also actively performing as a member of several companies including Los Angeles Choreographers and Dancers under director Louise Reichlin, Sahala Dancers under Jill Collins, and Contempo Ballet under Jose Costas. With these companies, she loves getting to perform across the country from The San Pedro Festival of the Arts to Jazz at Lincoln Center and much more. As much as Emily loves performing, she equally enjoys teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers from coast to coast.
