Emily McGuire has recently graduated from the Boston Conservatory and has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance with an emphasis in Ballet. Emily received her early dance education from Contempro Dance Theatre studying classical and contemporary techniques under Jennifer Lentz and Autumn Dziegrenuk.
While at the Boston Conservatory, Emily performed several works choreographed by Adam Hougland, Alison Cook Beatty, Francesca Harper, MADBOOTS Dance, Omar Carrum and Claudia LaVista. Emily was also a soloist in excerpts of Don Quixote and Raymonda restaged by Adriana Suarez and Gianni DiMarco. Additionally, she has performed professionally with David Sun's Boston based contemporary ballet company SundanceX as well as Opera North playing the role of a Jet Girl in West Side Story.
Emily currently resides in Los Angeles where she is on faculty at both the Santa Monica and Manhattan Schools of Dance and Music. Emily also teaches for the mobile dance company Plaza Production where she works within Southern California schools sharing her wealth of knowledge with beginner dance students. When she isn't teaching, Emily is performing in both live shows and commercial work. She has been featured with companies such as OtherLinks and Vasht.
