Kaitlyn Porter is a proud graduate from The University of the Arts. In 2021, she received a BFA under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield in the school of dance. She began her dance training in and around the Philadelphia area when she was 3 years old. In 2019, she studied Gaga and contemporary dance at the b12 festival of workshops in Berlin, Germany. At b12 she had the opportunity to study under renowned artists such as Alleyne Dance Company, Christina Mertzani, Olivia Ancona, and Scott Jennings. Back in the states, she had the opportunity to participate in a Gaga HomeLab workshops led by Ohad Naharin, as well as, a BeMoving New Year New Moves workshops led by Bret Easterling. She has performed in the Merriam and Forest theaters in Philadelphia for artists Bobbi Jene Smith, Annie Rigney, Tommie Waheed-Evans and Wendell Gray. She has also worked on films with Gary Jeter, Katie Swords-Thurman and Jesse Zaritt. Outside of her dance training, she has also trained with Annie Rigney in New York to become a certified practitioner in the Ilan Lev Method in their first international program.
