Tammi Gilson began her dance career at Wendy’s Dance Center when she was three years old. Focused in the styles of ballet, tap and jazz she started to compete at the age of seven and won numerous awards through the years.
In 1987 she performed with a select group of dancers at the Miss Bucks County Pageant, portraying the contestants as their younger selves. In 1991 she was chosen “Philadelphia Sweetheart” at the I Love Dance Regional Competition. This award brought the opportunity to perform at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. While there she trained with and attended multiple master classes with the likes of Guy Bilyeu, Eileen Price and Garold Gardner. She also appeared as a dancer in productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair.
Tammi became a dance instructor at Wendy’s Dance Center in 1999, where she taught a variety of dance styles. She resides in Levittown, Pennsylvania with her husband and two sons and is happy to return to the dance circuit by being a part of Contempro Dance Theatre.
